About

Growing up, I always felt like an old soul — surrounded by wonderful people, yet quietly aware that I didn't quite fit. I joined the military in 1996 partly to belong to something bigger than myself, and what followed was a career rich with leadership, deployment, and growth across nearly thirty years of service.

Yet for all the experience and accomplishment, there was a longing I couldn't shake — a sense that somewhere underneath the rank and the role, there was a version of me I hadn't fully met yet.

Why GALS Exists

The GALS Initiative is the result of finally meeting her. Growth, Awareness, Liberation, Self — it's the framework I built to find my way back, blending the discipline and clarity of military life with the deep, soulful work of truly knowing yourself.

Throughout my work, you'll find three threads woven through everything I share — Militarisms, the wisdom drawn from military life; Memories, the personal and professional moments that taught me the most; and Moments, the quiet flashes of intuition and truth that changed everything.

Beyond the Uniform

When I'm not working, you'll find me with my soul horse Teddy, or walking my golden retriever Darcy. They've taught me more about presence and joy than any book ever could.

Who This Is For

If you've been showing up for everyone else and quietly wondering when it's your turn — this was written for you.
